Through a dealer, we provided a supplier of planting material in the tree nursery sector with custom-made shade and windbreak netting. Their core business is rooting cuttings of ornamental shrubs, ground-covering shrubs and roses.
Shade and windbreak netting for propagation material
In addition to a 5-hectare greenhouse, this specialist in propagation material also operates a 5,000 m² shade hall. This outdoor hall is divided into two sections: one for rooting soft or special products, and another for hardening off products. The shade netting ensures that the plants adapt to outdoor temperatures while still being protected from the elements. For this shade hall, the netting needed replacement, so we supplied shade netting for the roof and windbreak netting for the walls. Both were custom-made to perfectly fit the existing structure.
Multiple solutions under one roof
One of NPI’s strengths is that customers can find multiple solutions under one roof. In addition to the new netting for the shade hall, our expertise was also requested for the on-site water basin. This basin collects and stores rainwater for irrigation purposes.
As film processing company from the very beginning, we have extensive experience in welding and custom-fabricating films and geotextiles. This makes us specialists in basin liners as well as in embankment protection, which is an integral part of a basin installation. In this case, the liner was still in good condition, but the geotextile on the slopes required replacement. The grower opted for a high quality, unmarked fabric, which our installation team finished on site to fit tightly into the corners. This ensures the basin liner will remain protected for many years to come!
