Why do growers like working with it?
Why do growers like working with it? This is mainly because it is a very soft and elastic type of tying tube. Moreover, it offers excellent UV stability. This prevents the binding tube from becoming brittle or breaking in the sun, so growers don’t need to replace it in between and they save time and money. In addition, the 1kg bag is convenient because a hook can be punched through it and this way it can be attached to a waist belt. Besides, the bag can be put in a waist bag to keep everything clean. This ensures clean and comfortable tying!
Applications
The soft binding tube has been widely used in soft fruit cultivation and viticulture the past months. In top fruit, in this time of the year they still use it extensively in tree training. As the tying tube is available in two thicknesses – 3 and 5 mm – it can serve different places and bindings in tying. Such as:
- planting in apples and pears (3 and 5 mm)
- all binding on the trunk, from the 1st to the 5th binding (5 mm)
- bending out the branches (3 mm)
- for different trees, growth stages and bindings in tree nurseries (3 and 5 mm)
Optimal production
The tying tube ensures that the trunk and branches stay in position. The soft material follows the natural growth of the tree even better and minimises the risk of tree damage.
