Matthijs joined NPI in 2000. The young Matthijs started his career at NPI in the office, but it didn’t take long before he was sent out on the road with a company car, a few NPI catalogues and the mission to sell horticultural supplies. The rest is history.
Fast forward 25 years and we can’t imagine NPI without our motivating and (almost) always cheerful Director Horti Supplies. In addition to his domestic and international sales missions, Matthijs joins his colleagues at the office on a weekly basis, bringing energy to the office. Whether it is with humour or big ideas, he is never unnoticed.
Over the years, he has become a driving force at NPI. He is an inspirer, motivator, team player and a sharp strategic thinker who knows the market inside out. With 25 years of experience, fast product knowledge and a constant eye on new opportunities, he keeps pushing boundaries. “If you’re not moving forward, you’re falling behind” is one of his famous sayings, and we could easily fill a book with Matthijs’ wise quotes.
One thing is certain: with Matthijs, there is never a dull moment. And we look forward to enjoying that for many more years to come!
